The four sculptures (PAWN I, II, III, IV) allow for different compositions, alluding to movement.

Some compositions demonstrate binary tendencies, indicating seemingly opposing qualities. Opposites – such as red vs blue, square-shaped vs round-shaped, big vs small, left vs right – become characteristic features. In other compositions they transit into something more ambiguous, allowing for viewers to discover the tensions between the works and friction between their shifting hierarchy .

Metropolitan centers are surrounded by industrial settings such as ports, factories and other visible components of global supply chain systems. These sculptures by Atelier TFL are inspired by the various modes of transport pertaining to these environments.
